This week we are catching up with our MD, Chris Edney.
How long have you worked at Readability?
I founded Readability 28 years ago.
What do you do at Readability?
Guide & inspire the team
What’s your favourite part about working at Readability?
The family feel and the freedom
What’s your background?
From estate agency to sticky labels is not, perhaps, a direct route.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Family time – I have a lovely wife and two grown up boys who will hopefully give me grandchildren at some point!
Crazy cars – From my Morgan 3 Wheeler, to crazy Lotus cars. I am hopeless on a track!
Biking – happiest when slightly out of control on a mountain bike.
Dog walking – my every morning sanity and sense check. Our two rescue collies are my executive team and get to hear every opportunity and problem before the rest of the world wakes up.
What’s your favourite podcast, book or TV show?
Killing Eve – Jodie Comer is a dead ringer for my niece Emma!
I used to love “The Professionals” and one day will have a Ford Capri!
Do you have a favourite quote, if so, what is it?
If part of your job every day is to eat a frog, make it the first task you do every day. If your job is to eat 2 frogs every day, eat the biggest one first.
Tell us a random fact no one knows about you
I can juggle & make scotch eggs with runny yolks…but not at the same time.
What’s the best piece of advice anyone has given you?
Bananas are the tools of Satan.
