Polypropylene labels

Printed or plain, polypropylene is a popular choice label material. Because of its durability and water/weather resistance it’s ideal for products that need an intact label throughout their lifespan.

Also known as BOPP our PP labels are used in many industries. The usual rule of thumb is that if extra durability is required look at Polypropylene as a label choice.

Three main types of PP are available, white, silver and clear are available. Ideal when you need a tear resistant, water resistant, durable label for products or pallets.

PP labels can used through thermal transfer printers and ink jet printers if coated in the right way. Ask us for samples and examples

Polypropylene characteristics

Durable and Waterproof

PP labels are waterproof and weather resistant. They are suitable for most consumer applications and will easily survive in shower/bathrooms for many years.

If you have specific regulatory waterproof standards to meet we can supply a label for testing.

Outdoor Use?

Ideal for long term outdoor use PP is the material of choice for chemical drums. With the correct set up these labels can offer compliance to BS5609.

Printed Polypropylene labels

As standard PP labels are finished and supplied on a roll for ease of application. Ideal when printed onto clear for the “no label look” or silver for the metallic effect.

A thermal transfer printable over varnish is usually applied to printed PP rolls as part of the print process helping seal the image and give even greater shelf life.
